About the Real World Guides To Outdoor Photography
In The Real World Guides To Outdoor Photography, I’m striving to provide something new in the world of photo instructional guides. The first two editions of this series: Alaska Range, and Into Botswana, provide a sense of the creative mindset that is required to make successful images. Winter in Alaska, however, is more directly instructional. It’s a true How-To book, and shows photographers what it takes to make images in extreme cold, how to protect yourself and your equipment from the conditions, and some direct advice about making the best possible images of northern phenomenon like the aurora borealis (northern lights).
All three of these are free, just click the cover image above, provide an email address, and a high resolution pdf of the book is yours.
About the Visual Monograph Series
I have a few favorite places. They are scattered around the world and are as disparate as can be. Rainforests of Central and South America, the Brooks Range of Alaska, Denali National Park, the Rocky Mountains, the Okavango Delta… the list goes on. These ebooks are my visual celebrations of these places. There is some text, with my thoughts, but mostly it’s a series of photographs. Give them a look, and let me know what you think.
